The point of marketing is to know what your customer needs and to meet those. Anyone who has a business also has a desire to expand that business and to see it succeed. The best way to focus in on the expansion of your business is to concentrate on organic growth.

You can do this in four different ways. This includes:

  1. Develop a bigger customer base.
  2. Talk each customer into buying more products.
  3. Talk each customer into buying more expensive products.  Talk each customer into buying more profitable products.
  4. If you do all four of these things this will increase your revenue.

First thing you have to do is to get a bigger customer base. This allows you more revenue because you will be getting more money from a bigger group of customers.

How do you do this you might ask? It is simple and I will explain it now;

  • Set aside some time to do some research and create a good marketing plan
  • Reach out to customers you are not currently targeting.
  • Make sure your prices are competitive with the companies who are selling the same things.
  • Create ads and banners based on solution marketing

Make sure you do not waste your time marketing to a group of people who will not buy your product. Make sure you target the people who will buy your product. Only a small percentage of people will buy what you have make sure they are your target audience. This will produce more revenue and be more cost effective to you.

Make sure that you choose very specific verticals that you market to this make it more likely that they will purchase what you have to offer. And again this does not waste your time or your efforts.

Marketing in small business and big business are a world apart. If you are like other small businesses you do not have a very large budget to work with. You want to make a well rounded program that incorporates sale activities with marketing strategies. This not only gives you an upper hand in being cost effective but it also helps you to get to know your potential clients. This is a very good thing and puts people more at ease since they know who they are dealing with.

Even though a small business has a limited budget or maybe they do not have a budget at all. You can still get out there and run with the bigger companies. You just have to a little more creative on your own you cannot pay someone to be creative for you. To do that, just follow these simple steps:

  • Call the people you work with vendors or associates and ask them to join you in co-op advertising.
  • Take time to get out incentives and customer referrals to the customer base that you already have.
  • Have you ever thought of free publicity? Use the media. It is free, extremely cost effective, and it has the benefit of boosting your business.

You can also get more customers by going out into the community like maybe a concert. Sell your tickets and get radio time. Or maybe there is an event you can get a booth at. Sell some of your products there. That is great way to get your products out there.

Make sure you keep track of all your marketing efforts especially if you are spending money on them. You can do this by using many toll free telephone numbers, coding your ads asking people how they came to your business. This allows you to see which of your tactics stop working that way you can find different ways to get yourself back out there.

By being persistent in your marketing strategy like making sure you talk to ten people every day for five days a week you will see your business grow rapidly. You have to make sure that you are very diligent about this one thing and you are sure to succeed. The best thing is that you do not need a lot of money to put yourself out there.
